Friday Favorites (Stoney Clover + Fashion + Beauty)

Lots of Friday Favorites to discuss today!

Friday Favorites

Stoney Clover

Okay first, Stoney Clover. The fuchsia launch last week has me viewing the site every day trying to decide which pouch I might need. The open top with the mirror is a style I do not have – yet. But the classic small is always so useful to have in my Stoney Clover collection.

I do like the keychain wallet even though I have one in another color — the bright pink is so pretty.

Also! Stoney Clover brought back the classic clear mirror open top now too! I’m debating between the bubblegum and the flamingo pink.

Shopbop has many items from Stoney Clover including the fuchsia collection too.

FASHION

I LOVE this bubble skirt.

Rhinestones on sandals are very me.

These sandals are so pretty for every day while still looking a little more dressed.

This star print denim jacket is on sale!

If you are still trying to get your hands on a lululemon belt bag, there seem to be plenty back in stock at the moment.

The Alo Yoga fanny pack is back in stock too.

Do I need another water bottle from lululemon? I like this color combo a lot. The amount of compliments I get on my lulu water bottle at the gym isn’t even normal at this point. People love mine so much and how it always matches my outfits. I like that these water bottles look nice but they also wash really well – considering I use it every day, they are really worth the investment.

BEAUTY

I’m on the hunt for the new lip balm from Lawless. It’s already sold out on Sephora’s site.

I did recently buy the Lawless Forget the Filler Overnight Lip Plumping Mask. I definitely like it and recommend it but I still really like the lip mask from Tatcha too. The Tatcha lip mask is a little thicker – which I like at night! I put the Lawless one on in the morning before leaving for the gym, so I do use it as more than an overnight lip mask. I like the cooling sensation it offers while also hydrating the lips. The Tatcha mask does not have a cooling sensation.

I’m considering the Makeup By Mario Plumping Lip Serum because I tried on the petal shade and it looked pretty. But still not sure — I like the Tarte gloss and I think it stays on longer. And It’s not like I need a new lip gloss right now!

However, I’m also considering these tinted lip balms from Tower 28 Beauty.

2022 Top Favorites From The Year

There’s no denying that 2022 was the most turbulent year of work I’ve ever had in my life.

Literally beginning January 1, up until last month, work wasn’t the same as in the past.

It was a wild year but an incredible 8-year career at the company. For someone like me who never cared AT ALL about having a career, I learned so much over the years, became a director of marketing, and managed worldwide teams — many who are now lifelong friends.

Even though work really took center stage for me in 2022, I did have favorites throughout the year that are worth highlighting!

3 Trips To Florida

florida-beach

I can’t believe I made it to Florida three times this year! Two of those trips were solely vacations to see Heather while one was work-related and coincided with Heather because we work in the same industry. You just can’t make it up that we both ended up working in the events industry — life works in mysterious ways for sure.

I’m already planning my next trip to Florida for early in the new year. Stay tuned!

Joining Equinox

I said this in Monday’s post — joining Equinox was the best decision I made all year. I love how it all worked out too. With the change to my job, I actually have the time to try all the classes at various class times vs only the classes early in the morning. I’m a lady of leisure for now and loving every second!

But don’t ask me to pick a favorite class, because I can’t.

Stoney Clover Favorites

Who can forget the Stoney Clover X Target collaboration? That was so much fun to shop.

Stoney Clover target

I continue to use what I bought during that collaboration but really took advantage over the summer at the beach by using the Stoney Clover beach towel, pouches, and beach bag!

stoney-clover-beach

In addition to the Target collaboration purchases, my favorite Stoney Clover purchase of the year was the pink terry hat with embroidered pearl letter M that I got for my birthday. I lived in it all summer!

Favorite Food

I can’t end this post without picking a favorite food from the year. My quick response is a bagel with vegetable cream cheese. Definitely my favorite post-run meal!

Have a great holiday weekend and a very happy new year. 🙂

P.S. – my blog turns 10 in January, it’s crazy how time flies!

Cupcakes and Friday Favorites

I’ve had a really tough week work-wise.

Really tough.

Honestly, it’s been a really hard year at work in comparison to the many years I’ve been with my company but this week was the hardest one yet.

I stopped for a cupcake one day to make myself feel better.

And then I figured I should pull together my list of favorites from the week to bring me out of the work stuff and into the happier stuff.

Friday Favorites

Can we discuss that Stoney Clover launched an exclusive to Bloomingdale’s collection?! How cute is this pouch with the iconic Bloomingdales patch?!

I love the FortyCarrots frozen yogurt patch too. It looks just like the giant Forty Carrots frozen yogurt I enjoy eating while I walk around Bloomingdales.

Speaking of Stony Clover, I’ve been debating a jumbo fanny pack and especially love this one for winter which is available through Shopbop too.

My favorite black cashmere dress is on sale – totally get it if you want a classic.

I love these pink pajamas with the sweet little bows. It’s a total plus that the material is so soft.

And I keep coming back to these black faux fur gloves with the pink hearts in the center. I can always use another pair of gloves!

Oh, how cute is this Bubble Knit Pom Beanie from lululemon? I love it in the pink.

If you can get online to Alo Yoga today in time to still make their SITEWIDE SALE, do it!

As a reminder, Alo Yoga makes my favorite sports bra for running and I can’t live without the headbands,

From this sale, I will likely grab the Keep It Dry Fitness Zip Pouches for my gym bag.

And I love the Alo Yoga coats! I’ve been eyeing this Knock Out Faux Fur Jacket.

Joined Equinox + Workout Apparel + Lunch in City

It’s Friday and I’m off from work today for a three-day weekend. I took off three of the next four Fridays to finish off summer with long weekends and extra beach time!

Lots of great favorites to share from the week so let’s get started.

I Joined Equinox

I guess I’m a gym girl again!

As I started to mention Monday, I decided to join Equinox earlier this week and am really happy about it. It’s not that I was burned out from my workout routine at home between running and Melissa Wood Health, it’s more that I wanted something else BEFORE the boredom/burnout could occur in the coming months of fall/winter.

This morning I have a one-on-one Pilates session which is included for me as a new Equinox member. I will let you know how it goes!

Otherwise so far, I’ve been enjoying the Equinox atmosphere, running on the treadmill, and figuring out which classes I will take on which days. I’ll be adjusting my workout routine to include pilates, yoga, barre, barefoot sculpt, and spinning around my usual running. So very exciting!

New Workout Apparel

In Monday’s post, I mentioned my latest lululemon purchases but need to mention them again. First, the Base Pace leggings really are worth it. It had been a few years since I bought these leggings and I think they have been changed to be even better. I have Align, which I love, but I wear those as everyday leggings, not workout leggings. I tend to try to save money on my running clothes but this time around, I ordered the Base Pace leggings to “try” them again. Once I put them on, I realized why they are so worth the investment. The fit is great and as if you are wearing nothing. I really want to wear them for all of my workouts! Also for me, they fit true to size (which only happens with lululemon pants – tops I have to size up).

Also, if you love the color hot pink, please don’t miss out on lululemon’s options for Sonic Pink workout apparel. I’m thrilled with the sports bra and tank.

From Alo Yoga, I ordered the following on sale:

Alosoft Complete Tank – for yoga/barre/pilates — love the build in shelf bras for these types of workouts

Rib Support Tank – another great one with the built-in shelf bra

Emulate Bra in Neon Pink – I have this sports bra in black for running. It’s so good that I grabbed this one on sale in pink!

Glow Sweatbands – These have become my favorite headbands for running

Lunch In The City

I was in the city for work on Wednesday and had a salad from my favorite vegan lunch spot, Beatnic. I forget which salad this was but it was delicious as always.

beatnic

I also enjoyed a latte from WeWork where we worked for the day. I’m always so giddy about the free beverage options at WeWork.

Stoney Clover

I’m still over here loving and using my Stoney Clover pouches. And yes of course, I’m thinking about a tote for the gym.

stoney-clover-pouch

I’m trying not to jump into a new gym bag decision but I am thinking about the Stoney Clover Classic Tote or the Mini Tote.

However, I am also looking at the Metro Tote in hot pink from MZ Wallace BUT may stay basic with this Keep It Dry Packable Tote from Alo Yoga.

I can’t decide yet but at some point, I will!

Lunch at Beatnic + Quick Friday Favorites

Happy Friday ahead of the holiday weekend!

I’m very excited about having a few days off and will be heading to the beach this morning.

I have a few Friday Favorites to discuss first!

I was so happy to have lunch from Beatnic on Wednesday while in the city. I tried a new-to-me salad but all of the salads on the menu are delicious.

I had the Meze Medley which included Kale, Quinoa, Fable Mushroom Shawarma, White Bean Hummus, Pickled Beets, Cucumber Tomato Salad, Baked Lavash Chips, Fresh Mint, Lemon Vinaigrette, and Tofu Crema.

We also ordered sides of buffalo cauliflower poppers and loaded corn poppers. Beatnic is always SO GOOD.

Friday Fashion & Beauty Favorites:

If you want a terry bucket hat but don’t want to spend on the Stoney Clover version, I found you this one.

Alo has terry shorts now but I still swear by the Gap version. I have at least three pairs and wear them all on rotation each week.

The new Stoney Clover “Happy Camper” collection has launched — it’s great classic denim. I am eyeing the tote.

I love the Court Rival skirt from lululemon so much that I should get another color.

J.Crew has big sales this weekend – use code GOFOURTH.

Bloomingdale’s is an extra 30% off sale.

Glossier has new eye liner pencils out in like every color. I love everything Glossier — if you haven’t tried the Stretch Concealer yet, order it now. You won’t regret it.

Also, the Ilia Multi-Stick that I bought this spring is one of my best beauty buys — it goes on so easily, the color is perfect, and you can wear it on your lips, eyes, and cheeks.

If you need an everyday lip gloss, I still recommend the Lawless Forget the Filler Lip Plumper Line Smoothing Gloss. I wear it every day.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

Catching Up On Friday Favorites!

It’s been a few weeks since my last round of Friday Favorites so let’s catch up on some recent favorites today!

I bought a few things at the Stoney Clover store in East Hampton a few weekends ago.

stoney-clover

Definitely get yourself a terry bucket hat. I had mine customized with a new style pearl letter M. I really need to take a picture wearing the bucket hat because the fit is SO CUTE.

I also grabbed a keychain wallet customized with a gingham glitter pearl letter M. It’s perfect for summer, travel, or anytime you want to carry less with you.

In other Friday Favorites news…

I started using this Alba Botanica Very Emollient Unscented Body Lotion and really love it! While I have so many other clean moisturizers that I like for the body, I noticed that I use so much at a time that spending top dollar on a body cream wasn’t the best idea IF I could find a cheaper option of high, clean quality. This giant bottle from Alba Botanica gets the job done, is clean in terms of ingredients, and is available at Target for barely fifteen dollars.

I also went back to the Drunk Elephant F Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial Hydration Mask and realized all over again how great it is for the skin. While I had switched things up to using Youth To The People’s Hydrate and Glow Dream Mask for a while, I do think Drunk Elephant’s mask gives better results.

This LOVE pouch isn’t a Stoney Clover pouch but looks similar and is a really cute cosmetics case.

I want this hair clip.

This strapless smocked linen dress is on sale at J. Crew.

This top, also from J. Crew is not on sale but I think I’m going to get it anyway.

I always come back to looking at this racerback flared active dress.

This dress, plus others from Melissa Odabash, is on sale right now.

I bought this GapFit Breathe Racerback Muscle Tank in neon green and I love it for running. I keep choosing it over my other running tops.

I also needed a new pair of the GapFit leggings I wear for running so I grabbed them on sale! I’m not one for compression pants so this style, in particular, is perfect — and always priced so reasonably.

Summer Season Beach Favorites

Friday!

I didn’t intend to do a whole Friday Favorites post around summer season beach favorites but as I started putting it all together, I noticed a theme.

Can we first please discuss my excitement over using my Stoney Clover x Target beach accessories? The pink-on-pink heart towel, the beautiful beach bag, and the flat pouch made me so incredibly happy while at the beach last weekend.

stoney-clover-beach

While you can’t get the Stoney Clover X Target accessories anymore in stores, you can shop for regular Stoney Clover items. A new terry collection launches tomorrow — I will be at the store in the Hamptons first thing to check it out!

In other Friday Favorites summery beach news…

If you can spot my Melissa beach/pool sandals in the above photo, they are hard to get right now. I like this style though from Melissa too — they are pretty and water-resistant. This flower pair in clear are on sale but only a few sizes are left!

Let’s talk hair for a minute. Here’s what I love to use on my hair after a really sweaty run/beach day:

First, Hair Treatment: I use the Olaplex No 3 Hair Repair Perfector as soon as I get home. I leave it in for less time than they recommend, but about ten minutes is just enough time to really do the trick for my hair.

Second, Shampoo/Conditioner: My favorite combos are either Olaplex #4 and #5 or Drunk Elephant Shampoo + Conditioner. I rotate the shampoo/conditioner that I use each time I wash my hair so that I never use the same combo two times in a row.

Third, after Shower Detangling Spray: If I need a little more detangling, I go with Drunk Elephant Wild Marula Tangle Spray

The above combo really leaves my hair soft, easy to comb, and shiny.

Summer Beach Fashion:

I bought some great summer styles from Aerie last week!

This beachy t-shirt is now my go-to beach tee. I ordered another one, that’s how good it is.

This oversized beach weekend sweatshirt in white — you need it.

And these tank tops fit really well! I bought a few in white because they fit me perfectly. Tank tops tend to gap in the straps on me but so far with these tank tops, the straps sit nicely on my shoulders!

I also ordered this cut-out one-piece swimsuit — it didn’t arrive yet so I can’t report on how it fits. I don’t normally wear one-piece swimsuits but with the cutouts, it seems like a compromise.

Cold Stone Sundae! Plus Other Friday Favorites

Can I start today’s Friday Favorites post with ice cream? I feel like that’s a good place to start.

I don’t recall the last time I had a Cold Stone ice cream sundae in a chocolate-covered waffle bowl. All I know is that I needed one on Wednesday and it really hit the spot.

It was more about the chocolate-covered bowl than the ice cream for me, that’s for sure. I just wanted to break off pieces of the bowl and dip them in the ice cream.

Once the bowl ran out, I was done. I didn’t want any more of the ice cream.

I’m such a child.

Sephora Spring Savings Event

In other Friday’s Favorites news, my first Sephora Spring Savings order arrived a few days ago!

I typically place two orders during the 10-day sale period or order online for one round and shop in-store at Sephora for the other during the savings event.

Sephora order

Here’s what arrived in my first Sephora order:

Drunk Elephant Shampoo and Conditioner: I use this combo once a week and honestly think the bottles I bought last spring are the same bottles I’m still using today! They are getting close to empty so I figured now was a good time to restock and save 20%.

First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser: I always have this cleanser in my shower.

ILIA Cheek and Lip Tint: This product came highly recommended. It’s really easy to apply – which is a major plus.

ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40: I’ve used this skin tint in the past, right now I was just trying to find the right color for my skin at the moment. The one I ordered is not it so I will go to the store this weekend to exchange it for the right color.

Kosas Revealer Foundation: Absolutely LOVE this foundation. It’s everything they said it would be!

Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Serum: A staple in my routine, I ordered another bottle just to have for when my current serum runs out.

I placed another order yesterday for a few more of my routine skincare items and another Lawless Forget The Filler Lip Gloss.

There’s still time to shop the Sephora sale – see my top picks in this post!

Stoney Clover x Target

While some may be tired of hearing about this collaboration, many people are still searching Target stores for returns and back stock hitting the shelves.

I may be one of the people checking the Target website every few hours for returns – I refuse to confirm or deny this. 🙂

Stoney Clover target

The clothes in the Stoney Clover x Target collaboration (which are folded into the beach tote in the above photo) are really so good that if you can somehow get your hands on the terry outfits (sweatshirts with both shorts and pants!), you just must.

Right now, I see that the pink terry sweatshirt (with the cute little embroidered heart in the corner) is still available in a few sizes online. All of the terry items fit me really well and decently true to size, if not slightly on the larger side. I like my sweatpants and sweatshirts on the looser side so while I often wear one of two sizes in my clothes, I went with the larger size for these items. The detailing is to die for with heart beads on drawstrings and heart buttons!

Note: If you can still locate the ruffle skirt, that does seem to run big. Order a size down on that one!

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4739621″]

I’ve been so caught up between Sephora and Stoney Clover that I haven’t really shopped anything else this week. Hopefully next week I will have some other spring favorites to share.

Have a nice weekend!

Recent Meals + Pizza + Garden Vegetable Hash from Trader Joe’s

Wednesday posts always seem to sneak up on me.

It’s been a few years since I used to take pictures of (almost) everything I eat. This means that I have to remember to take some photos in order to share what I’ve been eating. I’ll go a few days just eating and living without thinking about Wednesday posts and then suddenly it’s an – oh right, I need to take a few pictures – situation.

So here’s a look at a few meals from the last few days. We are going in no particular order here and I think I have less to share because instead of remembering a few more meals to capture, I’ve been busy with pictures of my Stoney Clover x Target purchases!

Stoney Clover target pouch
Just had to sneak a Stoney Clover picture in this post!

Recent Meals

I saw the Trader Joe’s Garden Vegetable Hash on the shelf while shopping so I decided to buy it as something different to eat.

trader joes garden vegetable hash

I cooked it in a pan with olive oil and chickpeas, added extra diced onion, and also added roasted potatoes. This was really good! I read somewhere that people are really liking this garden vegetable hash in omelets. That sounds like a good idea if you eat eggs, which I really do not on a regular basis.

trader joes vegetable hash

A stop for my weekly salad from Chopt in between going to Target stores on Saturday was very necessary.

After my run and after shopping the Stoney Clover x Target launch earlier in the day, I still needed to check out the other Target locations in my area to see what was left.

What was left were empty shelves! I was not surprised.

salad

No words are needed for my favorite whole wheat margarita pizza and salad combination.

whole wheat margarita pizza

Yesterday I had to go to the post office. I hate going to the post office because the line is always so long. And so slow.

The post office is in the same shopping center as Monte so I figured I would reward my post office wait with a slice of the whole wheat vegetable pizza to bring home for dinner.

With all of the Stoney Clover excitement, let’s not forget it’s Sephora Spring Savings time too! Here are my Sephora picks if you missed the post last week!

I Shopped Stoney Clover x Target Before My Run! (weekly workout recap)

Okay, so.

Even if you don’t care about Stoney Clover or the weekend launch at Target that sold out very quickly, I’m going to mention it today because the timing interfered with my run on Saturday.

With the Stoney Clover x Target launch occurring at 3:00 AM EST online and then first thing when Target stores opened, I knew I had business to take care of before running.

It was fairly easy for me to naturally wake up and order online (I did it around 4:00 AM and went back to sleep) but I also knew I would pop into Target at 8:00 AM to grab a few things in person. Plus, I needed to be part of the Stoney Clover experience!

it was literally like an episode of Supermarket Sweep.

stoney clover target

As a runner, I’m totally routine. Even if I run less these days, I still have to drink my coffee and eat some oatmeal before every run. The timing between when I eat and when I run is usually the same, even if I run a little later on weekends than I do during the week.

Heading to Target after my coffee and oatmeal but before my run was definitely a change — but I didn’t care. I went to Target at 8:00 AM dressed to run, had my Stoney Clover fun, and then came home to run.

Stoney Clover target
I made friends – this was their cart!

I think there was a time when this would have been really annoying and disruptive to my workout routine, but it really wasn’t a big deal.

While I never miss my planned workouts, I’m happy that I’m flexible about things.

Last Week’s Workouts:

The weather last week was not ideal. It was pretty cold and windy the majority of the time. I hope this coming week is an improvement!

Monday – 45 Min Walk

It was COLD this morning. Like low 20’s with wind, COLD. I didn’t plan on going outside but for some reason, the workouts I was trying to load from Melissa Wood Health weren’t appearing. I didn’t want to waste time figuring it out so I bundled up and headed outside for a walk instead. VERY COLD.

Tuesday – 40 Min Full Body Yoga/Pilates Flow (bodyweight)

Wednesday – 3 Mile Run

They told me on the news that it would be warmer than yesterday…but it was still SO COLD.

Thursday – 45 Min Walk + 12 Min Power Abs

Friday – 25 Min Advanced Yoga/Pilates Flow + 30 Min Walk

Saturday – 5 Mile Run

I came home from the Stoney Clover x Target excitement and then headed outside to run. I failed to notice how windy it was when I went to Target so it was a shock to me while running! This is one of the main reasons why I love the hooded runner top from Alo Yoga — I pulled the hood up and didn’t notice the wind anymore.

The bulk of my Stoney Clover x Target order was placed online but this is what I came home with from the store. The prices were really SO GOOD and the quality actually surprised me! I thought for sure the difference in the usual Stoney Clover quality would be noticeable — but honestly? Not really at all. I still can’t get over it!
