Higher Mileage Week (weekly workout recap)

Last week was definitely a higher mileage week for me including five runs, three runs in s a row, and an eight mile run in the mix too.

Last week was a higher mileage week for me including five runs, three runs in s a row, and an eight mile run in the mix too.

This is definitely my season for running so I’m really enjoying this time of year so far!

Last Week’s Workouts

Monday – 5 Mile Run

I ran seven miles yesterday on the boardwalk so I knew that if I wanted to run the boardwalk again today, I would have to run a bit less and a bit slower so as to not overdo it.

I don’t run as much as I used to (as you know) but I always think I can still run as much as I would like at any given time. While this may or may not be true, I’m still mindful so I don’t hurt myself.

Five miles at an easy pace in the bright sun on Memorial Day was just what I needed.

Tuesday – 22 Min Power Yoga + 45 Min Walk

Wednesday – 3 Mile Run

Thursday – 3 Mile Walk + 16 Min Pilates (1 lb weights)

Friday – 4 Mile Run

I ran three miles thinking I would cool down to 30 minutes but then decided to keep going until I hit 4 miles.

Saturday – 3 Mile Run + 15 Min Abs Focused Flow

I knew I wanted to run the boardwalk tomorrow but I also felt like running today so I kept it easy and short. Also, Melissa Wood Health‘s ab-focused flows really work the entire body! I really love her workouts.

Sunday – 8 Mile Run

I did not plan on running eight miles! I figured I would run six but then continued to seven and even at seven, I knew I could go to eight miles. Actually, if I had the time, I could have run ten miles today!

My pace was on the easy effort side (in the 9’s) which is exactly why I was able to continue endlessly.

It was literally a picture perfect weather day!
