End of July Summer Favorites

Can someone explain how we are at the end of July already? Like literally, we blink and I’m waking up to later and later sunrises. My son will begin college in a month? Shoot, I’m not ready to discuss that.

Instead, let’s discuss some of my summer favorites. 🙂

My Favorite Sunscreen Trio 

I’m so very pleased with the sunscreen trio I’ve got on rotation this summer. While I’ve always been loyal to Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 for outdoor workouts and beach days, I also wear Drunk Elephant’s Umbra Sheer™ Physical Daily Defense SPF 30 under my makeup every single day (year-round), and use Jason Family Sunscreen, Broad Spectrum SPF 45 on my body.

I don’t burn, or even turn red, or even freckle on my face.

All of my sunscreens are happily stored in my “SUN” pouch from Stoney Clover to keep things organized and looking pretty.

Stoney Clover Woven Collection

Stoney Clover X Olive & June

Um, we can please discuss that Stoney Clover has a collaboration with Olive & June?

I’ve failed to mention my love for Olive & June here on the blog and how I never returned to the nail salon since learning to do my own nails. Olive & June products turned me into someone capable of taking care of my own nails and even polishing them so perfectly that I don’t feel the need to pay someone else to do them for me.  Never in a million years did I think this would ever be possible for me or even something I would ever consider doing for myself but hey, the pandemic changed our lives, right?

I didn’t have time this week to take pictures of my nail polish collection (the above is a photo I shared a few months ago on Instagram) but maybe I will get to that this weekend and go into more details next week. In the meantime,

Summer Fashion Favorites & Sales

I haven’t had much time this week to browse my favorite fashion sites, however, I do have a few highlights to share.

I like this white dress from Lily Pulitzer. Also from Lily, this resort white tennis skirt with the matching top.

Who needs a Nordstrom sale when other brands and stores have even better (if you ask me) sales going on?

Shopbop is running up to 70% off right now — lots of good fashion on sale! These Havianas flip flops are so cheap and available in a really pretty shade of pink.

Grab these Alo Yoga leggings on sale and oh, my favorite Beyond Yoga Spacedye cropped tank is on sale too.

Bloomingdale’s is running a Summer Break sale with an extra 50% off clearance plus sale pricing on a large selection of items. I recommend you browse through the website – you will find something you need at a good price.

Black Friday Shopping and Sales!

Okay, so this Thanksgiving was obviously unlike any other which just goes in line with what the year has been. We didn’t go to the city and I haven’t seen my cousins in almost a year. It’s fine though, we have our health and had really delicious food yesterday too.

I made cornbread stuffing, roasted vegetables, and a lightened up apple crisp to bring to my parents’ house for the holiday. We also had mashed cauliflower, more stuffing, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes…and oh, I think there was turkey too.

In Black Friday news, sales are always a good thing. If I’m being honest, my favorite part of holiday shopping online is seeing the added section of Gifts For Me. Yes, I’m that person who pretends to shop for others while secretly shopping for myself. I mean, even last year, I went to the mall with every intention of finding my mother a Hanukkah gift and bought myself a pair of boots instead under the guise of assuming my mother would want her daughter to be happy. Isn’t a child’s happiness every mother’s perfect present?

In all seriousness, I’m all over the place with Black Friday sales. It’s overwhelming, isn’t it? I’ve made a scattered list of what I’ve found of interest along with the sales at the stores I’m shopping.

Big sales at J.Crew. Um, the price of this Wide-Knot Headband with Crystals is incredible. I have one, you need it. It’s a great gift too. Very comfortable and so pretty!

These fuzzy slide slippers from J.Crew come in pretty colors (the pink!) and are super soft (I touched them in the store). Also really soft is this cloud fleece hoodie. I like it for around the house but you can totally wear it out too.

Who wouldn’t want these Fluff Yeah Shearling Slingback Slippers? They aren’t on sale but not everything can be bought on sale.

Also not on sale but a great gift, these Golden Goose Poolstar Genuine Shearling Slide Sandals.LOVE.

I’m all about pajamas and loungewear this year. There’s this Star Seeker Printed Pajama Set and every pattern is nice in the Pajama Sets From Aqua.I want them all. Such a great gift.

ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED with these Converse Faux Shearling Platform Sneakers. Great price, on sale or not.

I keep coming back to this Adidas Hooded Sherpa Fleece Jacket.

Pretty sure I need these Apparis Faux Fur Gloves.
