Friday Favorites (Glossier at Sephora!)

This week totally got away from me but I wanted to pop in today with some favorites worth discussing!

Friday Favorites

Glossier at Sephora!

Glossier is now available at Sephora! I’ve been writing about my favorites from Glossier for a few years now so it’s really nice to have it available in-person at Sephora.

glossier order

If you are new to Glossier, here are my top picks:

Lash Slick – Best everyday mascara!

Cloud Paint – A really pretty cream blush, a little goes a long way so it lasts a long time!

Balm Dot Com – My holy grail lip balm, get the unscented and then try one of the other varieties.

Haloscope – A natural, easy to apply highlighter.

Stretch Concealer – Excellent, easy to apply and wear concealer.

Also from Sephora, I recently bought the Ilia Lip Oil. It feels really nice on the lips and the color stays put. I’ve been alternating this lip oil with my favorite Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plumps. I never loved a gloss as much as I love these from Tarte!

Fashion Favorites

I think I like these shorts with the matching top from Aerie for summer days at the beach, or after the beach.

Ohhh, a straw belt bag – so cute for summer.

I love Melissa sandals and this pair has my name all over them.

I’m finally ordering this star print denim jacket today. It’s still on sale and I will regret it otherwise.

I’m really trying not to need this mini clear cosmetics case from Calpak but the pink one has my attention.

How cute are these bow sandals from J.Crew?

Lululemon + GapFit Finds plus Sephora Sale!

Oh my goodness, I have so much to catch up with you on regarding recent purchases and Friday Favorites!

I don’t even know where to begin so let’s just jump right in, starting with workout apparel.

Sit down, this is a long post filled with great finds!

What I Bought From Lululemon

I ordered a few new things from lululemon and was very excited when they arrived on Wednesday!

lululemon-favorites

I bought another Sculpt Tank, in white. I love these tanks for running and for spin.

I have the Energy Long Line Bra in sonic pink but wanted another one so I bought it in black. It looks nice on its own or with something over it.

I have the Energy High Neck Longline Bra in white so this time I chose the Moonlit Magenta (which looks like a bright lavender). I wear this bra on its own (so nothing over it).

The Uplifting Bow Scrunchies were on sale so I bought a few colors.

And this Hold Tight long-sleeve top, which is not for workouts but for every day, is already my favorite and I haven’t worn it yet. It fits incredibly and is soft, stretchy, and just perfect.

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4876327″]

What I Bought From The Gap

With cold weather approaching, I realized that I needed some tops that I could throw on over tank tops and sports bras either at the gym or to and from the gym under a jacket.

I’m still a huge fan of GapFit for certain items and after ordering a bunch of long sleeve tops at a really great price, I’m here to say that you need them too.

First, this is actually a GapFit Breathe Shrunken Short Sleeve T-Shirt, not a long sleeve. But the fit is PERFECT and so cute. You need it.

Here are the long sleeve tops that I ordered:

GapFit Breathe Boatneck Long Sleeve T-Shirt – I got two colors (black and hot pink)

GapFit Breathe Open Back Long Sleeve T-Shirt – bought the black, love it.

GapFit Brushed Jersey Hi-Low Sweatshirt – don’t hesitate on this one!

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4876328″]

What I bought From Alo Yoga

From Alo Yoga, I ordered another pack of Glow Headbands and then this Rhythm scrunchie. I love the bow on the scrunchie!

Also, I want the Faux Fur Ear Warmer and the Faux Fur Tote Bag.

Sephora Sale!

The Sephora savings events happen twice a year and during both sales, I stock up on EVERYTHING.

I start with one Sephora order and then place one more, while also shopping in-store.

The below photo was round one.

sephora-sale

From Drunk Elephant:

C Firma Serum (best vitamin C serum)

F Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial (best hydration mask)

Bronzi Drops

Cocominos Shampoo and Conditioner

Peekee and Juju Bar – Travel Size

Also from the Sephora Sale:

I ordered the Charlotte Tilbury Glow Kit and Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask.

I’m loving the FaceGym Hydro-Bound Hyaluronic Acid + Niacimide Serum

I bought the refill for my new favorite moisturizer – Skinfix Triple Lipid Peptide Face Cream

Restocked Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner

The Sephora Collection Retractable Brow Pencil receives great reviews so I’m trying it!

Still to Get From Sephora Sale

While rattling off the above list makes me feel like I’m a beauty product junkie, I’m still not done taking advantage of the sale. I’ll go through my bathroom counter and cabinets today to see what else I need or should stock up on in order to save money.

I will share the rest of what I grab next week (likely makeup) but if you get anything during the sale at Sephora, make it the Tarte Juicy Lip Plump!

Friday Favorites (Mostly Fashion + Some Makeup)

I don’t know how we got to Friday so quickly but I’m pretty excited about it! This week flew by with busy workdays but I wanted to pop in with a few favorites ahead of the weekend.

Friday Favorites

I spotted these flip flops with the cute pearl on the front yesterday and can’t stop thinking about them. Normally I go white with my sandals but the sky blue colorway is on my mind.

Also on my radar are these water-resistant flip-flops. So pretty.

I love a sun visor for running in the summer — look at this one from Alo Yoga. The colors are selling out fast.

I have a thing for swim cover-ups. I never have enough! This one looks very me.

Also very me, is this dress for spring/summer.

I’m not one for blazers. They are just not my style no matter what is trending or what was once considered traditional adult/work attire. Now, if I were to wear a blazer, I did see this one. This I could wear. Maybe. Probably not, but maybe. It’s pretty.

My second Sephora order arrived from the Spring Savings Event. I recommend again the Lawless Forget the Filler Lip Gloss!

While in the Sephora store last weekend, the nice girl who works there suggested I try the MILK Makeup Sunshine Under Eye Brightening Light Coverage Concealer and Sunshine Skin Tint Clean SPF 30 Foundation — and WOW, I love both products. The concealer can be worn alone just to even out some coloring but with the foundation, which is lightweight like a skin tint, you’ve got a full face without feeling like you are wearing anything. Plus the SPF – it’s perfect for every day, especially in summer.

Oh! I recently ordered two new pairs of pajamas from Splendid and right now, they are doing buy one pair get one free. I’m a little annoyed that I paid basically the full price for mine but if you order now, you will save money if you use code FREEBIE. Or maybe, I will order two more for the price of one!

And finally, do we discuss Stoney Clover launching the pretty rainbow gingham collection today? Or are we all Stoney Clovered out? I think it will be live online today at 10:00 AM EST – the rainbow gingham pearl letters are worth it.

Happy Passover and Easter!

Sephora Spring Savings Event + Stoney Clover x Target Tomorrow!

Today is the start of the Sephora Spring Savings Event and tomorrow is the launch of Stoney Clover X Target?!

Way too much excitement for me at once!

The Sephora Spring Savings sale (use code SAVESPRING) is always a great time for me to stock up on my daily skincare products. I have my list ready for this morning and I’ll be adding a few makeup items too.

I’ll share what I buy in another post but for now, I’ve rounded up my top skincare and makeup picks to shop during this spring’s Sephora Spring Savings Event!

Sephora spring savings

Skincare:

I’ve gone in-depth on skincare so frequently that I don’t want to overload this post with my recommendations.

It’s always a good idea to choose anything from Biossance or Drunk Elephant. I currently use or have previously used almost every product from Drunk Elephant’s skincare line.

See my Drunk Elephant skincare routine in this post along with the best clean skincare products in this post.

Also…

Sunscreen for everyday under makeup: Biossance SPF 30.  Seriously, this sunscreen is now my favorite when looking for an everyday SPF 30. While I wouldn’t use it for the beach (I need SPF 50), this sunscreen from Biossance is so hydrating and moisturizing, that you can’t believe it’s sunscreen. While I wear it over moisturizer, you can wear it as a moisturizer. I guess it depends upon your skin type.

Makeup Remover:  Drunk Elephant Micellar Water. It literally removes your makeup in one try and does not irritate my eyes at all. I’m super sensitive so even the most “gentle” of removers will burn – not this one!

Gentle Face Cleanser: First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser

Bar Soap/Exfoliating Bar: Drunk Elephant Baby Bar Travel Duo with Case

Hydration Mask: I fell in love this winter with Youth To The People Hydrate & Glow Superberry Mask  I highly recommend it!

Best At-Home Facial Mask: Drunk Elephant Sukari Babyfacial AHA + BHA Mask

Lip Masks: I talk about lip masks often but really, once you try one, you can’t NOT use a lip mask every night. The Kissu Lip Mask is life-changing for your lips. Also worth trying is Ilia Lip Wrap.I really see results from both lip mask products.

Body Lotion: Go with either Necessaire Body Lotion or Biossance Toning Body Cream.

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4730521″]

Makeup:

As I’ve mentioned in the past, I wear a lot of makeup from Glossier but I do still shop for makeup at Sephora so here are my recommendations!

Foundations:

The Ilia True Skin Serum Foundation is a nice, clean foundation that won’t irritate your skin but goes on nicely with medium coverage.

If you want a clean foundation with light/medium coverage and an SPF, try the cult-favorite Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40.

Also, consider trying the new foundation with SPF 25 from Kosas.I know I’m buying it during the sale!

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4730523″]

My favorite Makeup Primer: Tatcha Silk Canvas

Favorite Concealer: Kosas Revealer Concealer

Excellent Setting Powder: Tatcha The Silk Powder Protective Setting Powder

Toning Mist: Biossance Toning Mist is great for hydration, setting makeup, and using jt with your beauty blender.

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4730524″]

Best Powder Blush: Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush

Bronzer/Highlighter Duo: Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow

Also, I want this Ilia Multi-Stick Cheek and Lip

Favorite Eye Shadow:  Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palette. While it’s not a “clean” makeup product, I do wear it when I really want to do my eyes up. The colors are so pretty and look so nice. The pigment goes on and stays on so well.

Favorite Eye Liner: Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Eye Liner

Favorite Lash Primer: Milk Lash Primer

Really Nice Eyebrow Pencil: Kosas Brow Pop

Lip Liner: Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Liner

Need Lip Gloss? Try a Kosa Wet Lip Oil Gloss. I also love the Forget the Filler Lip Plumper Line Smoothing Gloss from Lawless.

Oh, and this Balmy Tint Hydrating Lip Balm from Ilia is on my list.

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4730525″]

Hair:

Shampoo: If you still aren’t ready to trust me that Olaplex is THE BEST, try out the mini-size shampoo and conditioner as a start.

Also, try Briogeo Don’t Detox & Repair Set before buying the full sizes – I think you will love the Briogeo products but the mini sets give you a chance to try before spending full price.

I rotate Olaplex and Briogeo with Drunk Elephant Shampoo and Conditioner.

Hair Products:

I mentioned a few months ago that I love the DryBar Buttercup Blow Dryer and also use the Half Pint Round Brush when blowing out my hair and the Hold Me Hair Clips.

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4730526″]

Stoney Clover X Target

As far as Stoney Clover’s collaboration with Target which launches in-store and online tomorrow, I don’t even have words for this situation. I am pretty sure the collection will sell out online before I even wake up but I do plan to check everything that I’ve already “hearted” in my Target account to see what I can order. And then, I will go to the Target stores in my area first thing in the morning.

Sephora BeautyINSIDER Savings Time!

It’s Sephora BeautyINSIDER Savings Time!

I literally started planning my Sephora Sale order weeks in advance because I knew the Sephora Holidays Savings Event was approaching and it’s such a great opportunity for saving money on my routine must-have beauty products.

Use Code YAYHOLIDAY

For today’s post, I’m going to list out a whole bunch of my beauty product recommendations as suggestions when shopping the Sephora sale, and then next week, I can share what I ordered specifically during the Sephora sale. Sound good?!

Skincare:

I’ve gone in-depth on skincare so frequently that I don’t want to overload this post with my recommendations.

It’s always a good idea to choose anything from Biossance or Drunk Elephant.

See my Drunk Elephant skincare routine in this post along with the best clean skincare products in this post.

I can’t even choose which Drunk Elephant products to recommend to you in this post because I recommend ALL OF THEM – you just can’t go wrong. From cleansers to serums to moisturizers to masks (and haircare too), the products are excellent, clean, and well-priced.

However, the BEST makeup remover in my opinion is the Drunk Elephant Micellar Water. It literally removes your makeup in one try and does not irritate my eyes at all. I’m super sensitive so even the most sensitive of removers will burn – not this one!

Oh, and grab the Drunk Elephant F Balm Waterfacial Mask – so good for winter.

I do LOVE Tatcha skincare products too. During this sale, I will be grabbing the Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair Serum in Cream Treatment and The Dewey Serum Resurfacing and Plumping Treatment.

Oh, and The Kissu Lip Mask is life-changing for your lips. Even if you think your lips aren’t chapped and already feel hydrated, think again. Try this lip mask and you will see what I mean.

Need an excellent moisturizer for your body? Go with Necessaire Body Lotion.

Makeup:

As I’ve mentioned in the past, I wear a lot of makeup from Glossier which makes it a little hard to give you honest recommendations about all of the makeup options to shop during the Sephora sale. BUT! I do have a few to share!

Foundations: The Ilia True Skin Serum Foundation is a nice, clean foundation that won’t irritate your skin but goes on nicely with medium coverage. If you want a clean foundation with light/medium coverage and an SPF, try the cult-favorite Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40.

My favorite Makeup Primer: Tatcha Silk Canvas

Favorite Concealer: Kosas Revealer Concealer

Excellent Setting Powder: Tatcha The Silk Powder Protective Setting Powder

Best Powder Blush: Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush

Best eye shadow palettes if you have sensitive eyes but still want to wear eye shadow in a variety of shades that apply well and stay on: Tarte Power Bar Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette.

Favorite Lash Primer: Milk Lash Primer

Really Nice Eyebrow Pencil: Kosas Brow Pop

Need lip gloss? Try a Kosa Wet Lip Oil Gloss. I also love the Forget the Filler Lip Plumper Line Smoothing Gloss from Lawless.

Also, try Briogeo Don’t Detox & Repair Set before buying the full sizes – I think you will love the Briogeo products but the mini sets give you a chance to try before spending full price.

I like the Drunk Elephant Shampoo and Conditioner, and the Wild Marula Tangle Spray. I don’t use the spray every time I do my hair but when I feel like I need it, it’s great.

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4613675″]

Beauty Sets:

Buy a set as a holiday gift for someone else or for yourself to use for travel purposes. Or, go with a set simply to try the products before purchasing the full-size options.

Everyone needs the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Secrets Set.

I will get the Tatcha No Filter Essentials for myself.

Already own the Drunk Elephant Hair & Body Kit and then went on to buy the full-size products.

The Drunk Elephant Night Out Skincare Set is a great gift. I use all of the products in the set.

Asking for this Necessaire Body Ritual Set for Hanukkah.

Great price here for the Olaplex Healthy Hair Essentials

How cute is this Single Scoop (like ice cream) Beauty Blender?

Makeup Bags:

If you need a place to store your beauty products, I obviously recommend Stoney Clover pouches. And the BEST NEWS is that tomorrow (November 6) Stoney Clover is running their one-day sale – everything will be 20% off!

Stoney Clover Pouch Decisions + Fashion/Beauty Favorites

Who else is thrilled that it’s Friday? The week definitely went by in the flash, especially with me being in the city both Monday and Tuesday. Yet still, it hit me by early yesterday that it had been a long week and I’m ready for a weekend.

I’m not embarrassed to say that the highlight of my week was getting to use two of my favorite Stoney Clover pouches. The small pouch really holds so much that I really could have used just one in my tote for work – but no. I needed to use both.

I just couldn’t choose between them. Stoney Clover pouch decisions are not something I’m good at.

stoney clover small pouch

Oh, speaking of my work tote. I’m using this Longchamp Large Le Pliage Nylon Tote. It’s a great size and durable BUT if you want a large zippered tote with a crossbody strap, I recommend the Classic Tote from Stoney Clover. The only reason I don’t have one is that I can’t pick a color/patch combo. They also make a mini tote too which holds a ton and fits a laptop.

The Sephora sale is quickly approaching! I’m over here building my list of what I recommend while trying to hold off on buying anything new until the discount is available. I did cave in and buy a new foundation though — I highly recommend this Ilia True Skin Foundation.

And I’m trying not to need a new bottle of Necessaire Body Lotion for a few weeks but I have a feeling I’ll buy it tomorrow.

I wish I had some fashion favorites to report but to be honest, I haven’t bought anything that recently! I’m loving these Rag & Bone jeans that I wrote about a few weeks ago. I can’t get over how comfortable they are and the material is just so soft and barely there.

Oh, and this sports bra from Alo Yoga is definitely my favorite one for running at the moment. The nice thing about not running every day is that I don’t need a large supply of running apparel – I do the laundry often enough to have this bra ready for me to run every time since I bought it.

Any week now I’ll need to wear my running gloves. I’m still wearing the same lululemon pair for what, seven years ago now? Eight years maybe? They are my absolute favorite mittens but I still browse lulu to see if they come out with a new version of the fluff over mitten. I haven’t seen them in years but I see these Run For It All Hooded Gloves right now. I can’t say if they would keep your hands as warm but maybe worth a try if you need running gloves for winter.

My Favorite Sweatshirt + Flashbacks + Fashion Finds

Finally Friday! I’ve organized some favorites from the week to share today…have a great weekend!

Favorite Fitness

Although I ran twice this week, Melissa Wood Health‘s workouts continue to be my favorite. It’s a tough decision some mornings to decide if I want to run or if I prefer a blend of yoga and pilates with maybe a walk. I wonder if the warmer weather will entice me to run a little more? Really not so sure. We will see!

Favorite Fashion

I have additional favorite fashion finds further down in this post but today’s fashion highlight is definitely my new college sweatshirt.

The nice thing about having a son is that he’s not fighting me for my clothes or for the trendy college apparel all of the girls are wearing. And, since he’s wearing the standard college apparel and NOT the trendy college apparel to show off where he’s going to college, I CAN.

In fact, he told me that he knew about the Roadie Couture Trunk Show at Twenty5A and asked me if I would be going. So yes, of course, I went and had to get myself a trendy college sweatshirt.

Obsessed is an understatement. This is my new favorite, go to hoodie. I meant to get a picture of myself wearing it but the week got away from me!

roadie couture buffalo sweatshirt

Favorite Flashbacks

The flashback post I shared on Wednesday from when I used to fill my Maoz Vegetarian Bowls super high was from 2014. It was also the day that I was invited to the Build A Bear pop up shop in the city which was recapped as well within that post. This blog has offered me some really nice perks over the years!

I had taken my son out of middle school for the day and WOW, it’s just crazy how time flies. I remember at the time feeling bad for taking him out of school but also knew that it wouldn’t matter in the long run. And it doesn’t. Instead, he still remembers that fun day in the city, still has the bear, and I have the post with pictures to remember it.

Build-A-Bear

Do you know what it’s like to have a blog for over eight years and randomly read old posts with my son in them? I don’t post as often as I once did but seeing my old posts with what we used to do since 2013 is….well, there aren’t really words.

How about this one from my son’s 11th birthday when I wrote about how you just Never Sleep Again. It was written before the Bar Mitzvah and mentions my fears of one day my son driving on his own.

I’m doing okay with my son driving by the way. It comes in handy when I need him to run an errand for me. I try not to worry. I just say a prayer, trust the universe, and hold my breath until he’s home.

Favorite Finds

Love this short sleeve ruffle dress in the pink. I like this white dress too. Oh, and this tiered dress from J.Crew is the type you grab in every color for summer.

This is a nice maxi dress from J. Crew if you like maxi dresses.

Did I already mention these shorts? I don’t think I did because even I forgot that I wanted to buy them.

Some items from Stoney Clover’s Picnic Collection are available on Shopbop.

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4435682″]

What I bought from the Sephora sale:

Don’t forget that there’s still time to shop Sephora’s Spring Savings Event! It would be a shame for you to pass up the discount since it’s such an excellent time to save money on skincare and makeup you use on a regular basis. It’s also a great time to save money on trying out new products.

I will likely place one more order but here’s what I got so far!

This Brigeo shampoo.

From Drunk Elephant, I’m excited to try the Polypeptide Resurfacing Serum, restocked my Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer and Marula Oil, and at the last minute, ordered the The Little Hair and Body Kit so that I can try all of the hair and skin products.

When I was in store last weekend, I bought this ILIA Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tint. As I’ve said, my eyes are very sensitive so I’m careful with the types of eye shadows I wear. This liquid to powder eye tint from ILIA is made with clean ingredients and doesn’t irritate my eyes at all. It’s a really nice product. Oh and honestly? This Micellar Water/makeup remover from Drunk Elephant is the greatest I’ve ever used. It removes my face/eye makeup so quickly and easily with zero irritation.

I couldn’t get the Lawless lash primer that I wanted while in store but the girl who helped me recommended the KUSH Lash Primer from Milk Makeup so I bought it. So far I really like it and it doesn’t irritate my eyes. My Glossier Lash Slick goes on really well over the primer. Between the two products, the volume of my lashes is SERIOUS.

Ugh, I really wanted this lip gloss but it’s sold out online and in store!

Here are my picks again for what to grab from the Sephora Sale.If you have any questions, let me know!

It’s Sephora Springs Savings Event Time! Here’s What To Grab On Sale

I’m excited to share my suggestions for what to buy during the Sephora Spring Savings Event!

The Sephora Spring Savings Event begins today for Rouge status (hi, that’s me!) with VIB and Insider status starting next week!

  • Rouge: 20% off from April 9 to April 19
  • VIB: 15% off from April 13 to April 19
  • Insider: 10% off from April 15 to April 19

The Sephora sale (using code, OMGSPRING at checkout both in stores and online) is such a good time to save money and stock up on skincare, sunscreen, and any makeup you might need.

Since this is not a sale to be missed, I typically go through my skincare first (including sunscreen) to determine what is close to running low in order to save money on my skincare staples.  Then I check my makeup to see what I will need to replace soon as well as anything new that I could use.

I put together my recommendations for what you should grab from the Sephora Sale based upon what I like plus what I will be adding to my cart too.

what to buy from Sephora spring savings sale

Let’s get started with sunscreens first.

Now is an excellent time to ensure you have your sunscreen products set for the summer.

In my recent Drunk Elephant Skincare post, I shared that I love the Umbra Sheer™ Physical Daily Defense SPF 30. While in the summer I do like a higher SPF on my face, I still recommend this sunscreen. It’s great year-round, under makeup, and also really good for running first thing in the morning. For me though, I wear a higher SPF sunscreen to the beach or when sitting at the pool because I have fair skin.

I also have this Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Foundation which doubles as your lightweight foundation and sunscreen in one. This is great for the daytime with or without added makeup.

I ALWAYS come back to Dior Dreamskin Fresh & Perfect Cushion Broad Spectrum SPF 50. This is without a doubt a fabulous skincare/makeup/SPF product. I buy the refill every year. While it’s technically not labeled a clean skincare product, it is free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehyde, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban which is a TOTAL PLUS.

I also like this Supergoop Shimmershade Illuminating Cream Eyeshadow SPF 30.It’s an eye shadow that doubles as sunscreen for the eyelid too. I have it and really like to use it in the summer.

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4428124″]

Skincare

I already went in-depth on skincare recently so I won’t overload this post with my recommendations.

It’s always a good idea to choose anything from Biossance or Drunk Elephant.

See my Drunk Elephant skincare routine in this post along with the best clean skincare products in this post.

I do want to try the new  Protini™ Powerpeptide Resurfacing Serum from Drunk Elephant. I’m hearing great reviews on this serum which can be used AM and/or PM.

I’ve had this body lotion from Necessaire on my list to try for a while based upon hearing great things about it. I do really like the body lotion from Drunk Elephant though so it’s really a toss-up in terms of which to recommend.

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4428125″]

Makeup

So I use a lot of makeup from Glossier which makes it a little hard to give you honest recommendations from Sephora. BUT! I do have a few to share!

Best blush: Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush

My favorite make primer: Tatcha Silk Canvas

Best eye shadow palettes if you have sensitive eyes but still want to wear eye shadow in a variety of shades that apply well and stay on: Tarte Power Bar Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette. This palette from Tarte is really nice too- lots of colors!

Need lip gloss? Kosa Wet Lip Oil Gloss. Oh, and I want to try the Forget the Filler Lip Plumper Line Smoothing Gloss from Lawless.

Want to try the cult-favorite Pillow Talk for your lips? Go with the Charlotte Tilbury Mini Pillow Talk & Liner Set

I’m going to try this lash primer from LASHFOOD.

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4428126″]

Hair

If you aren’t ready to trust me that Olaplex is THE BEST, try out the mini size shampoo and conditioner as a start.

I keep thinking about this Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Mico-Exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo from Briogeo. I had gotten a sample of it last year for my birthday and really loved it. While I don’t have scalp issues, this shampoo made my hair/head feel so clean and refreshed. I’m likely going to get it during this Sephora sale.

If you have any questions about what to buy from the Sephora Spring Savings sale, let me know! I’m always happy to help with beauty product recommendations!

Friday Fashion Faves + Stoney Clover Picnic Collection

Just a few Friday Favorites for today!

First, can we just discuss again how I thought this colorway of my new Brooks Ghost 13’s was boring? It’s not boring! I really like the subtleness of the gray, and, I think I would go out of my way to order this color again on purpose. Maybe I don’t need exciting, bright-colored running shoes after all.

Oh, and yes, the Ghosts are always super comfortable. My feet really love them.

brooks ghost 13

In Stoney Clover news, their new Picnic Collection launched yesterday. Stoney Clover product launches are always a big deal filled with anticipation of the launch day and time!

stoney clover picnic collection

I always recommend a small pouch, the fanny pack looks so cute, and I definitely want a tote.

The new patches are adorable too — I have yet to make any final patch-pouch decisions. There are so many good choices although I always gravitate towards a cupcake. And ice cream cones.

[show_shopthepost_widget id=”4421882″]

Not Stoney Clover but I love this pretty tie-dye-looking tote anyway.

Did you see Forever 21 has a collaboration with Juicy Couture? A lot is sold out already but I want to go to the store today to see what they have available!

I naturally gravitate towards skirts like this.

Bloomingdale’s is running Friends & Family still so you can get this ruffled mini skirt AND this flounce mini skirt with an additional 25% off if you act quick! Go with this cropped tee in pink too.

I’m already working on my picks for the upcoming Sephora Spring Sale which I will share next week. I can’t believe it’s time for another Sephora Savings Event!

It’s Sephora Holiday Savings Event time again! I so look forward to the Beauty Insider Sephora sales. It’s such a great opportunity for stocking up on skincare, grabbing new makeup, and picking up holiday gifts.

A lot of my recommendations are actually the same as they were in the spring with only a few new additions.

Skincare

EVERYTHING Drunk Elephant. Seriously, you can’t go wrong here.

My favorite cleanser for removing makeup: Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser

Favorite everyday cleanser: First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser.

For eyes: Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel from Biossance and FAB Skin Lab Retinol Eye Cream with Triple Hyaluronic Acid.

Moisturizer: Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer with Ceramides and Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Cream.

Serums: I use the Drunk Elephant Rise and Glow Brightening Duo in the morning and T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum in the evening with Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Face Oil. I cannot live without this face oil! I use it on my hands too, it’s excellent for keeping cuticles at bay and manicures looking so fresh.

Best Mask: T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial.I use this mask every Sunday!

Also, check out the F-BALM™ Electrolyte Waterfacial Mask Mini which comes with a mini Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum.

Sunscreen: Right now for the winter months, I’m using Drunk Elephant Physical Defense SPF 30

Hair

I said this recently but will list it again because now is the time to save some money on the very best, in my opinion, of shampoos. The Olaplex Bond Maintenance Shampoo and Olaplex Bond Maintenance Conditioner are my favorite.

Grab the Holiday Hair Fix Kit for yourself or even the Detox & Resotre Kit from Brigeo.

Makeup

As I’ve mentioned before, I wear a lot of makeup from Glossier and MAC. But I also LOVE  Tatcha Silk Canvas Protective Primer and my most favorite concealer is the Kosas Revealer Concealer.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Secrets Set is so great as a gift but of course, I like it for myself. This sale is also a great time to grab the Charlotte Tilbury Bejeweled Instant Eyeshadow Palette or the Charlotte Tilbury Super Nudes Eye Shadow Palette.

Even with a mask, you can wear the Dior Lip Balm & Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss Set.

Stoney Clover Cozy Collection

I always find a way to tie Stoney Clover into my posts but hey, your new skincare and makeup need a pouch!

Stoney Clover launched the Cozy Collection this week and yes, you need it. And, if you are looking for the perfect holiday gift, you just cannot go wrong with a Stoney Clover pouch. Trust me.

Between the Cozy Heart Pouch, pretty cozy pouch colors, and the new pearl letters, jumbo heart, and jumbo glitter rainbow patches, I’m not even sure what to do with myself right now.
