Friday Favorites (Food + Fitness + Fashion + Finds)

It’s suddenly Friday and I don’t know how that happened! This week flew by in a real blur for me.

Favorite Food

I finally had lunch at The Shed!

It was easier to get a table this week so I was very excited. My friend and I both had the veggie bowl (shocker) – it was delicious. I could see by looking around at what everyone else was eating why the restaurant is so popular – the pancake stacks, waffles, various bowls, and burgers really looked so so delicious.

Favorite Fitness

This week feels like a blur to me. I know I took a barre class on Monday and ran both Monday and Tuesday, but it all feels blended together.

I did get to the Thursday morning yoga class yesterday which is such a good one — her flows are a little more challenging but I can keep up which makes me happy.

Favorite Fashion

This isn’t the best time of year for shopping because it’s a bit early to think about spring and I already have the winter clothes I need. I am going to Florida soon but I really don’t need to buy anything for the trip.

However, there are some decent sales going on!

Favorite Find

I’ve talked about Olive & June nail polish products in the past (and you can get a lot of them at Target!) but right now, my favorite finds from Olive & June are the hand serum and hand/foot scrub. Both products are made with quality, clean ingredients and get the job done. The scrub is not harsh and leaves my skin so soft and smooth. And the hand serum – I love it! It adds a fragrance-free silkiness to my skin before I add moisturizer on top — no dry skin for me, that’s for sure!

End of July Summer Favorites

Can someone explain how we are at the end of July already? Like literally, we blink and I’m waking up to later and later sunrises. My son will begin college in a month? Shoot, I’m not ready to discuss that.

Instead, let’s discuss some of my summer favorites. 🙂

My Favorite Sunscreen Trio 

I’m so very pleased with the sunscreen trio I’ve got on rotation this summer. While I’ve always been loyal to Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 for outdoor workouts and beach days, I also wear Drunk Elephant’s Umbra Sheer™ Physical Daily Defense SPF 30 under my makeup every single day (year-round), and use Jason Family Sunscreen, Broad Spectrum SPF 45 on my body.

I don’t burn, or even turn red, or even freckle on my face.

All of my sunscreens are happily stored in my “SUN” pouch from Stoney Clover to keep things organized and looking pretty.

Stoney Clover X Olive & June

Um, we can please discuss that Stoney Clover has a collaboration with Olive & June?

I’ve failed to mention my love for Olive & June here on the blog and how I never returned to the nail salon since learning to do my own nails. Olive & June products turned me into someone capable of taking care of my own nails and even polishing them so perfectly that I don’t feel the need to pay someone else to do them for me.  Never in a million years did I think this would ever be possible for me or even something I would ever consider doing for myself but hey, the pandemic changed our lives, right?

I didn’t have time this week to take pictures of my nail polish collection (the above is a photo I shared a few months ago on Instagram) but maybe I will get to that this weekend and go into more details next week. In the meantime,

I haven’t had much time this week to browse my favorite fashion sites, however, I do have a few highlights to share.

I like this white dress from Lily Pulitzer. Also from Lily, this resort white tennis skirt with the matching top.

Who needs a Nordstrom sale when other brands and stores have even better (if you ask me) sales going on?
