Thinking Out Loud – Trident Jelly Bean Gum and Super Bowl Talk

Ever fall asleep but not know you fell asleep until you wake up in the middle of the night realizing you fell asleep without knowing? A tongue twister but I think you get what I mean.

Last night I fell asleep unintentionally but rather grateful that it happened. I needed every extra minute of that rest as I have been feeling a bit more mentally and physically tired than usual.

I think today is looking like a better day. Amazing what some extra sleep can do.

Thinking-Out-Loud

Let’s start with my trip to Target the other day.

Of course I bought this tank top. I don’t care if it is 17 degrees outside, no way was I passing this cutie up. I learned my lesson last week when I didn’t buy those pretty macaroon coffee mugs. I am still thinking about them and hoping they have a set left by the time I make it back to that store.

I was actually in Target on a mission for Trident’s new JELLY BEAN GUM.

We are talking delicious chewing here people.

What’s with the gum companies and the trend towards candy flavors? Not that I am complaining or anything but first it was the Sour Patch Kids last week and now we are on to Jelly Beans.

FYI – The Lime Sour Patch Kids gum is fine but not as good as the Red. I don’t remember what the “red” flavor is called but does it even matter?

Red is always the best flavored candy isn’t it? You don’t even need to know if it is cherry, strawberry, raspberry or sometimes watermelon. You know that you will like the red one.

In case you need a new shower cap, count on me to direct you to the cutest one on the market.

A cupcake shower cap is available at Urban Outfitters.

Do you use a shower cap? I have a Hello Kitty one.

So Super Bowl Sunday. Let’s discuss it.

Super Bowl Sunday is the second largest eating holiday event next to Thanksgiving. Did you know that?

This tidbit of information got me thinking – it has been two months since Thanksgiving.

Can you even fully recall exactly what you ate at the festive meal? I know I can’t.

Are you still feeling full  and bloated from the stuffing and sweet potatoes and pie? Didn’t think so.

If you aren’t following where I am going with this, my point here is to help us all recognize how unimportant one meal or even one day becomes when you look at it over the course of the year.

So much wasted energy was spent focusing on Thanksgiving dinner, saving up calories for the meal, not even fully enjoying what you put on your plate because of the fear of gaining weight or losing complete control of your diet.

And now, two months later, can’t even remember what you ate.

Funny, yes? Let’s keep it mind for next year. And for Sunday. Enjoy the snacks and dips and wings and hopefully cookies. It’s one day.
