Finally! Friday. It’s been a long week. I hate to be that person who talks about the days of the week, waiting for Friday, or even the weather, but sometimes, it’s necessary.
Favorite Fitness:
It’s really hard to pick this week! I’m so LOVING my routine right now which makes it really hard to say which day/workout was a favorite. I think that alternating my run days with Pure Barre is the perfect thing for me at the moment. NOT running consecutive days leaves me really looking forward to my next run, returning fresh and full of energy, ready to push my pace.
If I have to pick from this week, I think it’s a toss-up between Wednesday’s 5 mile interval run and Tuesday’s Pure Barre “Sculpted Arms” workout.
Again, whenever they say the focus is arms in these Pure Barre workouts, it really just means working arms throughout the 55 minutes in conjunction with everything else. Total full body workout for sure! Like they say, it doesn’t get easier, you just get stronger.

Favorite Food:
I stopped at Chopt for a salad yesterday which I haven’t done a while! Here’s a picture of my bowl loaded with the ingredients before they chopped it all up. In the mix was romaine, spinach, quinoa, avocado, charred onions, spicy peppers, betters, hearts of palm, and avocado. Spicy tahini on the side.
Favorite Fashion:
I bought some new things at the Gap this week — I think you may like them too!
This Gap Open-Front Knitted Hoodie is a great color and style as we head into Spring. It’s perfect with skinny jeans or leggings with a white tank underneath. This may become my uniform. With my glitter sneakers, Ugg Boots or flats. I think I need new flats and these ballet flats are still on my radar. They secretly went 50% off at Bloomingdale’s in-stores – I say secretly because no one told me there was a sale. I just picked the flats up when I was in the shoe department the other day and noted the 50% off sticker! 🙂
And this modern long sleeve boatneck tee fits so well! I bought it in the black but I want to order the white as they didn’t have white left in my size in the store.
Favorite Find:
Recently I updated some of my skincare products and chose a few new-to-me Burt’s Bee’s items! I’m really happy about it too, not only because Burt’s Bee’s makes a great product but the price point is AMAZING.
I was running low on my toner, cleanser, and eye makeup remover and decided to give Burt’s Bee’s a try. They carry the full line of their skincare in Target which makes life really easy because I’m ALWAYS in Target.
The Burt’s Bee’s Brightening Daily Cleanser so far has been terrific. I think it was maybe $10?! Followed up with their Brightening Refining Tonic which I like just as much as any other toner I’ve used, if not more. It has a mild scent and leaves my skin feels really fresh and ready for moisturizer.
And my eyes are pretty sensitive so I’m happy to report that the Burt’s Bee’s eye makeup remover pads have not caused irritation and do remove all of my eye makeup really easily.
It’s not that I didn’t love what I had been using skincare-wise but I do like to switch my products up and it certainly doesn’t hurt that this time around, I’m saving a lot of money. While I won’t compromise on quality, I will spend less if a skincare product is made without parabans and the other harsh ingredients while including enough of the good stuff to show in the results.
Have a great weekend!
