I may be dating myself but did you used to watch Three’s Company? I always think of Chrissy around this time of year because Chrissy was short for Christmas. Her name was Christmas Snow.
Speaking of snow, the weather here has been warm and rainy yet stormy and snowy in so many states throughout the country that I do hope you have made it to where you needed to be for the holidays.
If you are still in need of a cookie recipe for tonight or tomorrow, may I suggest these ridiculous Soft And Chewy Oatmeal Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookies:
I can’t stop baking. Once I start, I just keep going and going and have now decided that I am on a mission to try out all of Averie’s recipes because they are just that good.
So good that the pictures really speak for themselves.
I even had these lovely ladies speechless yesterday when I delivered to them a plate of the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk cookies.
All that I will say again is that you need to ensure you CHILL THE COOKIE DOUGH. Makes all the difference.
Since today is Three Tip Tuesday as well as Christmas Eve, I have decided to share with you three links of possible interest.
I went with links for a very important reason.
While you may very well be looking forward to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, let’s be honest here – there is bound to be a relative at your holiday that tends to catch your ear and not stop talking.
You fear being cornered.
I know all about it.
You don’t want to be mean but you also don’t feel like listening.
If you are A Christmas Story fan, you know this scene. The scene where Ralphie gets cornered by the kid when they are in line waiting to see Santa. Ralphie tells the boy, “Leave me alone, I am thinking.”
While honesty is always the best policy, perhaps you don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.
Instead, the trick is to always be prepared. Prepared to make it seem as though you are otherwise engaged, busy, deep in thought…call it what you will.
I know, I know – you really should put your phone away but sometimes, you just need an escape plan.
These links will provide you with the opportunity to look busy and at the same time, maybe you will learn something.
No need to thank me.
Have a very Merry Christmas!
