What I Ate During Last Week’s Quick Trip To Florida

My trip to Florida last week was a quick one but here’s a look at what I ate while there!

I had a midday flight on Monday so I brought a bialy with vegetable cream cheese to eat on the plane and arrived at my hotel right around 5:00 PM. While waiting for Heather to pick me up for dinner, I walked over to Farmer’s Table to get an order of the buffalo cauliflower drummettes.

I love the food at Farmer’s Table so much that I was planning this order while on the plane!

We went for a super low-key sushi dinner in our sweatpants a bit later in the night.

Hotel Breakfasts

For this quick trip to Florida, I decided to bring oatmeal packets with me and ask for hot water from the hotel cafe to make my breakfast. I also brought peanut butter packets but purchased fruit and coffee to make things complete.

I used to always travel with oatmeal packets back in the day. It’s a really good, easy, convenient, and healthy option that packs well and just needs water or milk to make it a meal. Peanut butter packets are a must for traveling too! So convenient.

I worked in the shade by the pool through the morning on Tuesday and then grabbed lunch from Farmer’s Table before getting ready for the party at Heather’s company.

The roasted Brussels sprouts are really good so I had to get them on the side of a greek salad!

While I didn’t get pictures of the food passed around at the event, I did make sure to capture my brownie sundae from the food truck. Food trucks are such a fun addition to events!

Oh, and the cute party favor! I’m really not a candy person but the sour gummy bears were so fresh and delicious.

I was literally in Florida for less than 48 hours but it was totally worth the trip. My flight home was midday on Wednesday so I had my oatmeal at the hotel before I left and ended up eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that I had in my bag on the plane. I always travel with one or two premade pb & j sandwiches on ezekiel bread for just in case moments. Peanut butter and jelly is another food that packs and travels well.
