I know I’ve already mentioned that I’ve been living on matzoh ball soup over the last week.
Last night for dinner at Ben’s was no different.
The pickles and cole slaw at Ben’s is always the best. I love sour pickles. Always have, always will. Like if there’s a sour pickle on the table, I have to eat it, no matter if goes with what I’m eating or not.
Added a potato latke because it’s Hanukkah.
It’s taken me some time to get back to my usual bowls of salads every day since having a cold. One night for dinner I made chickpea pasta shells with butter and parmesan cheese. This is really such a classic, simple, and tasty meal.
I think I went five days without a salad. That’s crazy for me! I did pick up a Chopt salad over the weekend and eat it at my friend’s store while we caught up on life.
At night I love to have my tea with one of those ginger man cookie hangers from Trader Joe’s. Does it get cuter than this?
So who remembers my obsession with Peanut Butter & Co.’s Crunch Time peanut butter and how my pantry used to be stocked with 16 jars at all times?! It’s been a while since those days but my friend had told me that Crunch Time was available through Amazon again so look what I have now!!
I was so excited when the peanut butter arrived that I quickly toasted a whole wheat English muffin to have for lunch with peanut butter. There really is no peanut butter quite like Peanut Butter & Co.!
This was perfect timing for me too. Lately (as in over the last week) I haven’t even wanted my usual bowls of oatmeal for breakfast. I switched to a toasted English muffin with butter and jelly one morning which I swear was the the first time in like six years that I didn’t have oatmeal for breakfast!
I wonder if I may start rotating breakfasts now? And not eat oatmeal every day? I’m such a creature of habit that I don’t know if I can do it, but I might!
