A few things to note before recapping my week in workouts:
It rained almost every single day until yesterday. Aside from affecting my mood, the constant rain affected my ability to run outdoors and go for walks like I’ve being doing the last few months. I hope the sun is out this week!
The road work continues in my community which makes it hard to run outdoors (when it’s not actually raining) because I’m constantly adjusting my pace to pay attention to where the broken ground will be so that I can change my route. They should be paving this week which I’m really happy about!
I ran an extra day this week but it wasn’t overly intentional. It’s just how things happened.
Monday – 5.35 Miles (45 min treadmill)
5 miles on the treadmill (because it was raining outside) and then cooled down to 45 minutes.
Tuesday – 6 Miles
I didn’t write anything down about this run which means I had nothing to say. I think I was on the phone for most of the run.
Wednesday – 30 Min Pure Barre/30 Min Running
I used to enjoy splitting an hour between Pure Barre and running. And while I no longer do this often, once in a while it’s a nice change of pace. I did the Pure Barre workout first and then headed outside – it was SO HUMID.
Thursday – 4 Miles (treadmill)
I didn’t really know how long I felt like running and it took me a few minutes to realize I had already run every day this week which isn’t typical for me right now.
When I reached 30 minutes and saw I was closer to 4 miles than 3 miles, I continued on to 4 miles. Looking back to see I ran 4 miles makes it seem like I didn’t run very much but I ran speed intervals and definitely left the treadmill feeling like I had a great workout.
Friday – 45 Min Pure Barre
Saturday – 8 Miles
Finally a day with no rain! I can’t wait for the road work to be done in my neighborhood. It’s a major inconvenience for me when running outdoors which I think you can tell in my splits. I bounce around from running freely to paying attention to changing my route. I was also on the phone a few times during this run.
Later in the morning we went to the city AND to Brooklyn to experience Smorgasburg so I did a whole lot of walking. More about Smorgasburg hopefully tomorrow!
Sunday – Pure Barre

How is the weather by you?
Ever been to Smorgasburg? What did you eat?
I’ve wondered if Smorgasburg was worth the trip! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts
