If you follow me on Instagram, you may have already seen that I was able to find my running shoes.
So here’s the deal!
I went to my local running store (Runner’s Edge) to learn that the Adidas Energy Boosts have been replaced by the Solar Boost. It seems (at least this is what the guy said and I haven’t found anything to prove otherwise) that Adidas didn’t actually come out with any big marketing about this switch yet BUT the Energy Boost was basically just renamed Solar Boost.
The Solar Boost (which is a neutral, yet well cushioned shoe) is being sold at the same price point with the same specs as the Energy Boost. He mentioned minor tweaks to this model from my previous Boost but nothing I will focus on as they honestly feel the same.
I don’t really care what Adidas calls my shoes so long as my feet stay happy and so far, so good. Actually, my run yesterday was amazing!
My goodness, it’s just the greatest feeling to know which running shoes are your running shoes. Like, you put them on and just go. Everything is in sync and the feeling is like no other for your feet. You just know when it’s your shoe and these are my shoes, as they have been since 2013. I’m pretty sure that I giggled a few times during my run yesterday, I was so happy.
And the colors! Adidas has never been kind in the aesthetic department but these Boosts are so pretty, in my Islanders colors!
Moving on to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
I did a little more digging and found some links worth sharing. What really bothers me about the Nordstrom sales is that most of what I like never makes it to the markdowns!
Having said that…
My favorite 7 For All Mankind – the b(air) High Waist Skinny Jeans – are in fact on sale! I no longer bother to look at other brands or styles. I have a few pairs of these and wore the ripped style at my birthday brunch. So comfortable!
I have this Becca Southern Belle Off Shoulder Cover Up Dress – it’s a great price.
This Red Carter Drawstring Cover Up Dress is a nice one.
I do like the brand Chaser and these Distressed Fleece Jogger Lounge Pants are cute.
I love anything Splendid and this Splendid Long Sleeve Crew Neck Tee is a classic.
How could you not like this Sanctuary Park Slope Cold Shoulder Sweatshirt?
I can’t decide if I like these Puma Bow Sneakers. I keep going back and forth about it. What do you think?
Oh, and I love this 5-piece semi precious stone stacking bracelets. They aren’t on sale but they are so cheap that it doesn’t matter!

I’m so glad you found your running shoes! My shoes are the Brooks Ravenna’s! I’ve had them since version 3 and they’re on 9 (maybe 10?) now. Definitely mine forever haha.
I have a few items on my wishlist for the Nordstrom sale that opens tomorrow. Hopefully the colors and my size are still in stock so I can grab some good basics.
It definitely looks like you have found some amazing things at the Nordstrom sale this year! I haven’t really done much personal shopping lately because all my money is going towards college expenses. But I recently bought new running shoes, my fave pair is the Under Armour Slingshots, they’re the ones I always go back to!

So glad you figured out what was going on with your shoes! I think the Pure Flows are my shoes. Even though I wear some other ones, they’re the ones I keep going back to. I’ve been wearing them pretty consistently for 5 years now.
I don’t love the puma shoes, but the jogger pants are sweet.
