Thanksgiving Week in Review

It’s so not easy getting back into the swing of things after the long holiday weekend but hey, we have no choice.

Last week feels like a total blur so just in case you were unplugged/out of your usual blog reading routine, here are some posts you may have missed:

I went to the mall a couple of times over the holiday weekend and it shocked me that it wasn’t crazy crowded. I was able to get parking right away although I think online shopping has something to do with it.

Also not crowded was Trader Joe’s however they must have been crowded enough at some point to sell out of the cinnamon raisin English muffins!

As much as I love sushi, I think that these crispy rice with tuna things are my most favorite. I get really excited when Japanese restaurants offer them as appetizers.

We went to Aiko which used to be Kenta which used to be Nisen. You know, one of those restaurant spots where the name keeps changing but they serve the same type of food.

Important things checked off my list this weekend:

*Haircut (finally, I cut two inches!).

*Manicure & Pedicure.

*Upgraded my phone to the iPhone 7.

*Watched some of the new Gilmore Girls episodes on Netflix.

*Successfully picked all of the apples out of the apple pie leftover from Thanksgiving.

So why didn’t anyone alert me in advance that Saturday was National Cake Day?!

I am long overdue for a slice of my favorite Linda’s Fudge Cake. According to the blog photo library which I then compared to my phone photo library, the last Linda’s Fudge Cake to reach my lips happened at the end of the July.

At least I had a good bagel yesterday.

It’s so hard to choose which bagel to get (as I said on Instagram yesterday) but I went with the multigrain maple raisin bagel which goes so well with a big chopped salad.

Who is shopping Cyber Monday?! My inbox is loaded with deals (including Pure Barre which has 25% off of the DVD’s and online workouts!) so I am going to go take a look at all of the sales before heading out for my run.

Have a great week!

Are you shopping Cyber Monday today?

Best thing you ate over the weekend?

Do you like to eat all of the apples out of an apple pie too?

  1. I was so excited that my family from NY brought us some bagels when they came for Thanksgiving! I cant believe the mall wasn’t that crowded. I don’t think I have ever gone on black Friday but I remember not being able to find parking during the holidays when I lived there.

  2. Looks like a busy, successful week! The chocolate cake and the bagel look heavenly. And yes! I don’t really like pie crusts, so I always eat just the filling of pumpkin, apple, and berry pies 🙂

  3. Omg a bagel and giant salad sounds so good right now! Last week just feels like a blur from all the holiday festivities and having time off work. I wish I would have room to celebrate national cake day, but I was too full from Pumpkin Cheesecake on Thanksgiving, lol

  4. That chopped salad looks tremendous and I’m now officially dreaming of your chocolate cake. Remember when I used to think chocolate was just ok. I swear it’s motherhood. It’s wrecked me in the strangest of ways. 🙂

Crap, I need to start my holiday shopping.

  5. I got sooooo lazy over Thanksgiving weekend, and it wasn’t even a holiday for us up here 😆 But yeah, getting back into things on Monday was definitely a rude awakening, especially now that it’s December and the holiday mentality is gonna be sticking around all month. Oh, and I definitely pick the apples off pies and cake. Baked apples are amazing.

  6. I’m not too excited to go out to shopping on Thanksgiving weekend, i’d like to be at home with family, cooking, talking together, cause it’s a holiday and why don’t we stay at home and talk together!!! Anyway, i had a list of thing to do too, and completed it!!!
