Something really exciting happened in my Twitter land this week.
Seriously, I feel honored and almost famous in a modern technology sort of way.
I actually had my favorite Maoz salad again the other night for dinner; it’s still fascinating to me that they opened near my house.
The girl who handled the loading of my bowl made it really big for me too!
Aside from the Maoz salad though, vegetables have not been my thing this week. At all.
I have been completely sweet over savory and sometimes, I think that’s perfectly okay.
This lunchtime three ingredient pancake hit the spot multiple days in a row like I can’t even begin to tell you.
You may have caught a glimpse of it already on instagram.
The protein from the egg, the carbs from the banana mixed in the batter plus the sweetness from the blueberries were just so perfectly combined with the peanut butter on top completing it like it was cherry to an ice cream sundae.
I was so satisfied because it fulfilled my need for sweet yet kept me feeling strong through the afternoons from the fat and protein.
My sweet tooth has really been enjoying this Extra seasonal edition gum too.
I asked on instagram if anyone else had tried the new Confetti Cake Pop it and it seems I may have been first!
It’s real good. I recommend it.
I also recommend Arctic Zero. I really do. I never thought I would, but I do like it which I know I have mentioned to you in the past.
Again, it’s not traditional ice cream, it’s more like when you get frozen yogurt and load in the toppings for full flavor enjoyment effect but it’s great to keep in your freezer when you feel like indulging in a big bowl of dessert.
Although, lately my dessert bowls have been filled over and over with the LOVE O’s and chocolate chips.
Two types of chocolate chips to be exact. I have decided that it’s imperative to work with two chip sizes – > Nestle dark chocolate chips plus the mini semi-sweet chocolate chips.
It’s a texture thing. Winning combination. Do it.
I haven’t abandoned my other winning combination though, don’t worry.
Granny smith apples sprinkled with cinnamon with a side of peanut butter mixed with Cocoa Goodness Oat Clusters from Love Grown Foods — still top on my list of go-to snacks. Or mini meals. Call it what you will.
My son has been thrilled this week with Love Grown Foods too only in their Hot Oats department.
I don’t know what it is about their oats but every variety cooks up so rich and thick but really soft in texture.
I wish they sold Love Grown Foods in stores near me but right now they don’t. They assured me though that they are looking to branch out into locations in my area real soon so I am a little bit excited about that!
I am also excited about two more things.
#1 – My long run tomorrow.
Yes it’s on the treadmill again so yes this is the positive thinking part of my brain talking to you right now.
And #2- A Red Mango deal which starts today…
They keep telling me on the news that this weekend will be the coldest we have seen in twenty years but that doesn’t stop me from frozen yogurt.
I can’t drink water when I am cold but my sweet tooth gets what it wants. Always.
Ohh wait, tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. Are you still looking for chocolately recipes?
Here are some of my favorites, which are slightly healthy too!
Chocolate Chip Strawberry Baked Donuts (or muffins)
Oatmeal Raisin Chocolate Chip Cookies
Lightened up Chocolate Chip Cookies
Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Have a terrific weekend!

Are you a Love Grown Foods fan? Do they sell it in stores near you?
Will your long run be indoors or outdoors this weekend?
If you receive a box of chocolates for Valentine’s Day, will you eat them all or break them open first to see what’s inside?
Love the latest LOVE drop! I had the same snack this week with and apple, almond butter and LOVE Clusters.
These LOVE Drops are just awesome, especially since my son enjoys them too! I can’t wait for the stuff to be available in stores near me.
I’m glad todays not Saturday because its -2 degrees right now. Luckily it worked out to be a non-running day so I’m avoiding that. Tomorrow is looking like it will be in the 20s in the morning so I’ll be running outside.
I never liked getting boxes of mixed chocolates because I hated not knowing whats inside!
Good luck with your treadmill long run and have a great weekend!
The crazy cold is headed here, I can’t even think about 0 and below. So not in the mood, it’s enough!
Please tell me why it intends to be so cold all of the sudden? HELLO IT IS FEBRUARY.
I guess I’ll just have to bake in order to keep my apartment warm, right?
Ugh, I am ignoring the forecast. Seriously. I can’t even handle hearing temperatures of 0 and below. It has to end soon!
LOVE Love Grown. I’m super sad because my box of Love O’s is coming to an end, though… I keep trying to stretch it out and make it last, but I have a feeling this weekend will be the last one… and then I’ll have to go back to mixing chocolate and strawberry Power O’s 😆 You know what’s sad? I’ve never been able to eat those boxes of chocolate — they always have traces of peanuts so I used to look at all the pictures and descriptions and try to decide which one I’d like best if I could eat them.
That is terribly sad. I can’t even imagine not being able to sample some chocolates in the boxes.
I’ve been debating the run this weekend but finally settled on braving the cold tomorrow morning with my friend. We’ll see how that goes! Planning for 10 but neither of us are married to that distance if it’s just too cold.
You are braver than me! Hope it goes well. Maybe it won’t be as cold as they say.
I promise you that you inspire me with your long treadmill runs. Whenever I’m slogging it out on that bloody thing, I think of you! How long is your long run tomorrow?
Aw, I am glad to hear that! I don’t know how long tomorrow is, I never really plan it in advance. Usually I aim for 10, knowing after that I can decide how much longer I feel like going.
I still haven’t seen that cake batter gum here yet. Boo! 😦
It seems like it literally just came out. Just spotted it this week.
This post makes me really hungry – haha. I got some Arctic Zero a couple weeks ago, but didn’t really love it…maybe I should try again 🙂
I like it when I mix it together with toppings and whipped cream. On it’s own, I don’t hate it but it’s not as good. It’s a great base when you want to make a bowl of ice cream without overdoing it.
I totally get mad when chocolates don’t come with a key…I like to know what I am biting into! I don’t like a lot of flavored truffles so it’s important that I don’t bite into a strawberry or lemon goop!
When I was younger, I was really picky and wouldn’t eat the fruity flavored truffles but now I like them! Maybe not the lemon though…
Meri! You are making my teeth twitch…..must have sugggarrr!!!! Yuuuuummm! i love sugar, and this is not helping!!! I have to say though, I won some coupons for arctic zero, and I really wasnt a fan…..I feel like you can tell they are artificial, and I would much rather have my regular ice cream……but that being said I guess I can see why people would love them with the calories in the pint!!! Have a wonderful valentines day friend!
I feel like we can’t compare Arctic Zero to ice cream. I wouldn’t let it sub for my really good desserts but I do like it sometimes at night loaded in a bowl with lots of toppings. I couldn’t eat it plain.
