Both Michele and Amanda tagged me to complete the latest survey going around so I figured today would be a good day to answer a bunch of random questions.
Four Names People Call Me Other Than My Real Name:
1. Mommy
2. Meemo – My mother always called me this growing up and my friend Lauren thought it was funny so she called me Memo as well.
To get back at Lauren I would refer to her as Lou Lou Bell since that was what her mom would write on her lunch bag.
3. Doodles – My nickname in high school which literally stuck so well that no one called me Meredith. I still turn around if I hear anyone say Doodles.
We think I got the name Doodles because I was eating Dipsy Doodles, not because I was doodling. I did a lot of doodling too though in my notebooks so that would make sense as well.
4. I never liked my name by the way.
I always wanted my name to be Rebecca. Feel free to call me Rebecca. Not Becky or Becca. Rebecca. It would make me happy.
Four Jobs I’ve Had:
1. Promotion Coordinator for a promotions firm which handles sweepstakes, contests and instant win games.
I am more than experienced when it comes to running these blog giveaways and sweepstakes!
2. Sales Associate At Saks – spent more than I made.
3. Office Manager/Event Coordinator for a company in the event planning industry.
4. Did you know I had my own cookie business for a bit?
Yeah, I used to bake and sell lots of cookies and dessert platters.
Of course I would still bake up an order or two if asked but I stopped doing it on a regular basis became it became super time consuming and rather draining.
Four Movies I Have Watched More Than Once:
1. The Parent Trap (the original)
2. National Lampoon’s Vacation
3. Troop Beverly Hills
4. Can’t Buy Me Love
Four Books I Would Recommend:
I have read so many books over the years that it is hard to remember them all yet certain titles stick out in my mind worth recommending.
1. The Terrible And Wonderful Reasons Why I Run Long Distances- The Oatmeal
2. This Is How It Happened (Not A Love Story) – Jo Barrett
3. The Other Boleyn Girl – Phillipa Gregory
4. The Queen’s Fool – Phillipa Gregory
Four Places I Have Lived:
1. Bellmore, New York
2. Port Washington, New York
3. Commack, New York
4. Dix Hills, New York
Four Places I Have Been:
1. Seymour, Indiana– my first ever business trip when I was a promotion coordinator.
2. Hershey Park – in 2012 for my first Half Marathon!
3. San Diego, CA – I never wanted to come home.
4. Chicago, Il – I really need to get back there for the pizza.
Four Places I Would Rather Be Right Now:
1. Sitting in a robe sipping cucumber water while waiting for a massage.
2. Shopping in the city at Bloomingdales followed by Saks Fifth Avenue with someone else’s credit card
3. Having dessert at The Cheesecake Factory.
4. Eating warm chocolate chip cookies dipped in a glass of milk.
Four Things I Don’t Eat:
1. Cottage Cheese– gross.
2. Meat/Poultry– You know I am a vegetarian, right?
3. Tunafish/Egg salad– Just no. Never!
4. Soda– I never liked it. I must have tried it as a little kid and made the decision it was not for me and never tried it again.
Four Of My Favorite Foods:
You can’t expect me to stop at four, can you?!
Four Television Shows That I Watch(ed):
I am just going to ramble off what comes to my mind first….
1. Seinfeld
2. Beverly Hills 90210
3. Facts of Life
4. Sopranos
Four Things I Am Looking Forward To This Year:
Excuse me while I get all corny but I kinda look forward to every day with the expectation of something fabulous happening. You just never know what a day will bring.
Four Things I’m Saying:
1. Uh huh
2. I’m hungry
3. Stop bouncing that ball
4. Do your homework, take a shower, go to bed
This was so fun to complete! Be sure to check out what everyone else is thinking about today…

Is it snowing where you live? Anyone up in the Buffalo area?
Do you like your name?
Would you be able to narrow down your favorite foods to only four?! What are they?
I definitely could not narrow my foods down to 4 – there are way too many. Maybe if I categorized them and then was allowed 4 in each category. ha. Dessert would still be tricky! And cookie business? That is awesome!
Woke up to a dusting of snow this morning!
Ugh I do not want snow this year, I am just not interested.
Is it snowing where you live?
1. It is not snowing yet here in Northeast PA, but bitter cold. (For the record I like snow, only if I can stay home!)
Do you like your name?
2. No I do not like my name!!!
Would you be able to narrow down your favorite foods to only four?! What are they?
3. Four favorites: Pizza, Apples, Cheese, Edamame.
Enjoy your day, it is supposed to warm up a little!!!!
It was definitely a drop warmer this morning which I appreciated while running! Hope you are having a great day too.
Troop Beverly Hills ahh one of my favorites!!
One of the best ever and not replayed enough on television!
I’m normally not a big egg salad fan but I CRAVED it like mad during my first pregnancy. Strange! I also love that you lived 4 different places in NY and that you had a cookie business! That is truly awesome 🙂
So funny what we crave when pregnant. I was the complete opposite of myself – I wanted nothing but sandwiches and real food and never ever anything chocolate or sweet. It was so not me!
Your “places I want to be right now” are the best answers I have read for this survey! That is so cool that you had your own cookie business!
Aw thank you – I would take being at any of those “places” right now, and really, any time!
Thanks for the shout out memo! It was fun to wake up to that memory!
Fav foods-
Ice cream for sure
Love French fries ( big weakness)
Any dessert that is chocolately ( is that a word? lol) melted and decadent!!
Can I place an order for one of your delicious dessert creations?
Troop Beverly Hills and parent trap- memories from our childhood.
You know I am a life long lover of the wizard of oz!
Lou Lou Bell! Ha. On your lunch bag, I will never forget!
I never liked my name all that much either. I always wanted to be Elizabeth. Susie just always sounded super weird to me!
My grandmother calls my mom Susie, short for Suzanne.
I wanted my name to be Crystal when I was younger — but I have no idea why 😯 I’m fine with Amanda, but no one really calls me that anyways. People online usually call me Spoons, and people in RL call me A. If someone I know well calls me Amanda, it usually means I’m in trouble :lol:And if it’s my parents? Ooooo I know it’s gonna be bad.
Totally going to call you Crystal.
I don’t live too far away from where the snow is really falling, but very little here in Ottawa! I am very glad I’m not driving through NY State right now! It has only snowed an inch or two so far.
I saw they had closed the NY Thruway for 114 miles, I am glad you aren’t trying to drive through there either!
It does not snow down here in California. I am perfectly ok with that. I am not fond of the cold weather 🙂
I never liked my name when I was younger, but now I am indifferent towards it.
I hate all those “get to know you” games where you have to say your favorite food, but it’s just impossible to narrow it down. Even narrowing it down to 4 is hard, but if I HAD to, I would probably say pizza, grapes, froyo, and peanut butter.
Love a good survey! You can learn such random facts about people 🙂
I actually do love my name now, but I didn’t like it growing up…I tried to change it to Lisa..haha.
Try having a name like Arman. I should have kept all my starbucks cups from my trip-
‘Apple’ ‘Almond’ ‘Ayhorn’ ‘ACORN’ WTF
All the foods you dislike are my favourites- ironically, cottage cheese was something I ate a tonne of in NYC because they have this amazing brand, Daisys- so salty so good.
I’ve always thought my name was too plain – in high school spanish class we were supposed to pick a “spanish”name – for 2 years I was Raquel and loved it!!!
I’m with you on not like cottage cheese. I do love tuna fish and egg salad though.
And, The Facts of Life was one of my all time favorite shows the summer my parents got a divorce (before 9th grade for me) – I wanted to go to a girls school like that!!!
Ah, I remember Troop Beverly Hills! Love that movie! And I enjoy ALL of the National Lampoon’s Vacation movies. I have the Christmas Vacation movie listed as one of my own 4 movies I’ve seen more than once on the survey on my blog now in fact. Also…I’m now craving chocolate chip cookies dipped in milk.
I love all of the Vacation movies too! The best! And Troop Beverly Hills is just the best movie ever!
