I Am Nice. Really I Am…

I am nice. I really am.

Just don’t try to test out my niceness on a rainy Wednesday morning that sends me inside to get my run on versus outside on my favorite path.

Worse than sending me inside to the treadmill is arriving to a packed gym with each dreadmill already in use.

And even worse than that? The people  who take treadmill coffee breaks and still think they have the right to call shot.

Do the cool kids still call shot for the front seat in the car?

Reason number 10,0040 to run outside vs. treadmill – I don’t need to deal with people.

people annoy me

That’s right. Some people in this world, and oh how lucky for me the people in my community gym, feel that they can hop on and off the treadmill for minutes at a time, disappear completely and come back claiming their mill.

Listen, I am a runner not a fighter.

So, I took my aggression out on the elliptical while I calculated my revenge on the treadmilling coffee breaking hoggers.

I thought about wishing the treadmill people a bad run, a stuck incline button and even a slow metabolism.

But I stopped myself short because I believe in karma.

Oh yes.

I refrained from completing those revenge thoughts therefore I am destined for a great outdoor run today where no one will bother me and no one can interfere.

And if you live in New York, please don’t  bother to remind me that it is raining.

Speaking of revenge, it appears that Fairway could care less about supermarket karma.

Do you believe this?

Not only is it the Fuji apple once again on the 99 cent/lb sale, they are offering GREEN PEPPERS in conjunction with the sale this week.

Totally to taunt me.

how rude

That’s fine Fairway. See if I care.

I have been buying my Granny Smith apples at Trader Joe’s and they are delicious. Who needs you.

Good thing I always have a stockpile of apples. I had the pleasure of having a major hungry day yesterday. The kind of day where you are already planning  your next round of food as you are eating the first round.

All I can say is that an unidentified number of apples with peanut butter (and dark chocolate chips as pictured above) were consumed  to round off each meal and satisfy the massive 16 hour hunger attack.

I hate those hungry days. Thankfully I don’t have them all that often and I am feeling closer to normal today.

Whatever normal is.

Have a great Thursday!

I need to know:

Do you have treadmill hoggers in your gym?

Do you prefer to run alone or with others?

How do you handle hungry days?

Do you think Fairway is out to get me?

  1. I completely despise the treadmill, so I am right there with you. i will usually outside run in any condition unless it’s a torrential downpour or lightning. haha.
Aren’t granny smiths the best apple to eat with pb??

    1. Love my Granny Smiths and pb! Just wish I was still getting my jumbo apples for 99 cents a lb lol. I’m partial to Fuji and pink lady too. Just don’t try to give me a red or golden delicious. Ick
